There is some detectable but minimal flex in the seat-back when I am pedaling hard but not enough to concern me. Factoring in the price and the quoted weight limit of 300 pounds I feel like this bike is an excellent value. |

| Answer: | Resistance is minimal. The resistance comes entirely from the body weight of the user. But, you are standing as you pull back on the handle bars, so the resistance is not equal to your full body weight. Instead, it is much less. Resistance is not variable. You can adjust the height of the handle bars which may provide a minimal adjustment to resistance. but there are no weights to add or knobs to turn to tighten a belt or anything like that. The machine is well built and well designed and it does provide some strength training, but it is mostly an aerobics device. So far, the machine has been good for me because having it around encourages me to use it. I am 70 years old and not particularly strong. It is not a challenge for me to use the Fit Rider. The challenge comes in continuing the use for extended exercise periods. |

I tried the bike on the longest adjustment and was surprised to find it was too far for me to reach comfortably. I think I would be comfortable on this bike even if I was 6' 8". |
