User questions & answers

Question: Why is the 8 size is expensive
Answer: There are no boot loops. I don't know what a "boot pull" is. I use a bootjack sometimes, to pull them off. I've had no problems getting them on (getting them off isn't the easiest, but they stretch and become easier to pull on and off, over time).
Question: Are these water resistant
Answer: Not at all. All of the boots are gorgeous, but you will not receive the very item pictured. I have ordered two pairs from amazon. I was very pleased with the first, the second appeared to be an entirely different color and did not match the picture in the least.
Question: are these authentic Frye boots
Answer: It does not, wonderful leather, beautiful boot, just too small in that area. Thought it was just me!!
Question: How tall is this heel
Answer: No they wont

Product description

This engineer style from Frye is designed with just the right amount of slouchy volume for a relaxed, yet polished look.

Frye boots are famous for their high-quality leather and all-American appeal, and Veronica is no exception. This boot may be short in stature, but it's long in charm thanks to polished buckles and weathered leather that's beautifully broken in for rugged style you won't have to work at. A rubber sole lends grip to all-around-towning, so you're as sure footed as you are cool in Veronica.

User questions & answers

Question: Does anyone think I would be able to wear the soft black leather ones in the rain
Answer: Riiiiight? I bought them anyway but still
Question: In the cognac boot what color is the sole
Answer: No, they are leather and would need to be treated to be water resistant.
Question: How does the toe box of the Veronica compare to that of the Women's Engineer 8r ankle boot
Answer: Be mindful that there are fakes floating around. I received fakes. They were labeled "Made in India". There is an obvious quality difference- they were labeled 7.5 M but one shoe was half size bigger than the other. Also, comparing to the same pair I got in a different size 8B (Made in Mexico), there are differences in weight, heel height, and leather quality (the 7.5 India boot might actually be pleather). Check underneath the buckle, the authentic ones are embossed with a number & logo. The fakes do only have embossing on top (not underneath). The boxes will look similar from the outside, but were constructed differently, the fakes had just white tissue, and the real boots had custom Frye branded tissue in the box. I am returning the fakes (marked as defect & sending back), and exchanging the 8M for a smaller size, but yeah... sometimes amazon fulfills for outside companies, and that's where things can get sketchy.
Question: I just got these and am really questioning the quality. Anyone else suspect their boots weren't true Frye's? They looked terribly made
Answer: Very low

FRYE Women's Paige Tall Riding Boot

FRYE

Based on 728 reviews Check latest price

Product description

Gorgeous leather follows a classic riding boot shape with an additional layer across the front to add detail.Fit Guide - When you receive your boots, always try them on in the afternoon for the best true fit, as that’s when your foot tends to be at its largest. Your entire foot should feel snug except for the heel which should slip a little, which is necessary for getting your boots on and off. The amount of heel slippage should reduce over time. The ball of your foot should always sit at the widest part of the sole. If it sits too far forward, your toes will hurt, and we certainly don’t want that. The vamp of a boot should fit snug over the top of your arch. Oh, and don’t forget to be sure you can always wiggle your toes

FRYE has done it again with the Paige! This gorgeous classic style riding boot shows off their high end quality and craftsmanship with its finely tailored leather upper, and tonal welt stitching. Of course, comfort will never take second stage either, the ultra-soft leather linings and cushioned insole have all of that covered.

User questions & answers

Question: I have small calves. Would these work okay or be huge
Answer: Can be kinda tough over the heel but NO.. great looking boot
Question: I have a pretty wide foot, should I go up a half size
Answer: I don’t have any Carson boots, so I’m unsure about their sizing. I have 3 pairs of Wyatt boots. I usually take a 7.5 in Frye and the Wyatt boots are also 7.5. I love them!
Question: Does anyone know the calf circumference in a size 10? The description refers to a size 6 and I know the calf size gets larger proportionately
Answer: I ordered the dark brown pair and they were authentic.
Question: Is this the wide calf version
Answer: Mine are black, the leather is high quality and they have the pull tabs. Beautiful pair of boots and fit like a glove. I hope that was of some help.

User questions & answers

Question: I really want this distressed look, will these boots bee distressed like the picture
Answer: I bought these for my daughter which has small calves. They look great on her. Not to big but of course she has her pants down in them.
Question: Does the chocolate color darker with polishing
Answer: i have a very wide foot after having a baby .i currently wear a 9 but wear these in an 8.5 and they fit perfect.. keep in mind they will stretch
Question: So if these are imported, but say made in usa on product, then likely made in china
Answer: Same problem. I'm a size 9-9 1/2 and need about a 13-15" circumference. Did you get the 10? What is the calf circumference, please?
Question: The description says suede but they look leather. Which is it
Answer: This is not a "wide calf version". Size 8 is just about 15.5 circumference. I also believe the calf varies by size. I normally wear a 7.5 shoe but the 7.5 boot was way too tight in the calf and to narrow. The 8 fits with thick socks and the calf is comfortable.

User questions & answers

Question: Does the size 6.5 fits a 13 inch calf
Answer: They’re distressed but incredibly stiff and much more tapered through the toe than they appear to be in photos. I gave my pair to a friend because I found they didn’t really suit me.
Question: What is the shaft height
Answer: I wouldn’t polish it. The leather is too texturized, almost like suede, so I think it would absorb too much and then be much darker.
Question: Will these fit 19 inch calves
Answer: Imported? Perhaps parts of the boots are imported to the US. I would pose that question directly to Frye!
Question: How do I know these are authentic
Answer: The picture and description that I see says leather so I assume it’s leather and not suede. I do own Frye Veronica Combat boots in a green (forest) and they are suede.

User questions & answers

Question: Do you think these boots are true to size? When I walk in them my heel doesn’t stay in boot securely. Maybe thicker socks are needed
Answer: To my knowledge no FRYE boots run wide in the leg. These also seem to have a sticky zipper problem that is easily solved by running a bar of soap or an old candle over the teeth. I am only 5’ tall so they ran a bit tall on me too. They fit fine now, but if you need a wider calf they may be problematic for you.
Question: Are the black stone wash boots very beaten up looking or stylishly worn looking? Are they comfortable for long walks
Answer: I would not say they are baggy or fitted. They do slide down a bit so I guess someone might consider that to be baggy - I do not. The zipper is key for getting your foot into the boot. I hate a boot I cannot get on down by the foot. I bought another pair of Frye's that one of my feet wouldn't get all the way in.
Question: I ordered a pair of these in tan and could not even get them on my feet. Would you recommend sizing up
Answer: Yes, it measures 15" in circumference including the zipper. I love these boots.
Question: Is there any distressing on these black frye billy boots? is there a style number inside the boot? starts with 77. wshovn doesn't tell the finish
Answer: Same issue, shaft size not mentioned, very snug and zipper very difficult to pull up. I ordered a half a size up and so want these to work out.
