Question: Are they slip resistant
Answer: I wore this dance shoe to West Coast Swing class. During a turn, I fell. I don't know for sure but suspect that the shoe caught on the laminate floor instead of sliding. The shoes are very comfortable so I use them for everyday wear but not for dancing.
Question: do they run large
Answer: They definitely are not for point. Work well for turns.
Question: Would they be good for walking shoes
Answer: They work for a little wide.
Question: They have rubber soles. I need as a senior that dances a shoe to glide when pivoting. Does it slide or stick to floor? Knees problem
Answer: Honestly, I have never worn them in the rain! I think they would get wet if you stepped in a puddle, but if you were just going from car to building, I think it would be fine.

User questions & answers

Question: I wear size 9 in street shoes which size should I get in Bloch
Answer: Bloch is a German company, but don't know where they are actually manufactured. Wonderful shoes. I have been wearing them for years.
Question: what does AD mean
Answer: The shoes come all laced up and I just wear them as they are. Afraid I'm not sure about the double lacing system.
Question: What does AD mean after the size
Answer: We tried this at our local dance store before we ordered online. The guidance is purchase 1 shoe size above street shoe size because it runs small. My daughter is a size Women's 8 Medium width and we had tried on a size 9 and then ordered it online and worked great. She also uses a regular sports sock vs a thin dance sock (would slide around inside the shoe). Hope this helps.
Question: I wear a size 8 shoe, what does size 8X represent

User questions & answers

Question: I wear men's size 10 what do I order
Answer: I'm not sure but these are the most comfortable aerobic shoes I have ever worn......and I am a very active 64 year old who is picky about her feet! This is my second pair. I think the thing I appreciate, besides the comfort, is the way they allow me to move. I will more than likely buy more!!
Question: Would these work for Kung fu/martial arts
Answer: I'm so sorry that I misread your question. I was so prepared to talk about ordering Bloch Dance Shoes that I didn't pay close attention to your question. I don't know what the "AD" is for. Again, I'm so sorry. Good luck to you.
Question: hello, I ordered a 8.5 Manufacturer size, is it the 42.5 European size
Answer: Not sure what X means. Shoe runs small like all Blochs. I usually wear a 9.5 or 10 and have a wide foot. I wear an 11 in Bloch. This style is narrower across the toe than the Boost style, so I will switch back for more comfort.

User questions & answers

Question: I am trying to order the 8.5. what is the difference between 8.5 x and 8.5 ad
Answer: This shoe runs very small. I returned my order. Not true to size or order up a size larger.
Question: Are these good for line dancing
Answer: I don't think so. They are for dancing SLIPY for rotation, spinning. Plus very hard rounds areas in the sole
Question: What is the size of the heal
Answer: Whatever your shoe size is order one size up
Question: is this a flat shoe or heel/wedge? and if heel/wedge, what is the height difference between ball and heel
Answer: I wear a 9 & purchased a 9. In all of my Bloch dance shoes I generally purchase my actual shoe size so they will stretch to fit my foot exactly how I prefer. Once I broke these in, they were perfect. I have had them for 6 years now & still love them! I say it all depends on how you prefer your dance shoes to fit & what type of tights / socks you plan to wear with them.

Question: Are they more slippery than bloch Boost
