Answer:	No. Your phone can be locked and screen off and if it detects audio you will hear it on your phone. I love this baby monitor.
Question:	Could you easily bring this for travel
Answer:	There are mainly 2 factors to consider while taking the invidyo camera with you on your travels. One is powering the camera. Although invidyo camera does not run on batteries, it can be powered using a power bank since its power socket is classic micro USB. So if you need to get the camera running when you don't have access to a power outlet, you can just use a power bank. The other aspect is the WI-FI connection. You are all set If you have a portable hot spot with you or if you are able to use your phone's hot spot. However if you will need to connect the camera to a Hotel WI-FI, this is a bit harder than connecting your phone or laptop to the hotel network. Most hotels require you to open a browser and type in your room number and surname before you can get online. This is not possible with the camera. You will either need to have an ethernet cable connection in the room or you need to ask the hotel management to add the camera's MAC address to their router so that the camera can connect wirelessly without typing in the room number or your surname etc.

Answer:	Here is a solution. Use another IR light source. For $10-$20+ you can buy an external IR source. I have two windows facing my backyard. In one window I have the external IR lights illuminating the backyard. The other window is the YI camera. You can not use the camera and IR source in the same window. I use this IR source ($15) - JC Infrared Illuminator 4 Led High Power LED IR Array Illuminator IR Lamp Wide Angle for Night Vision CCTV and IP Camera and here is one you can use outdoors - Univivi Infrared Illuminator, 850nm 6 LEDs 90 Degree Wide Angle IR Illuminator for Night Vision,Waterproof LED Infrared Light for IP Camera,CCTV Security Camera. Answer:	The Owlet Cam can be mounted right above the baby's crib. Place the Cam and all cables 3 feet (36 inches) away from the edge of the crib. Cables within 3 feet (36 inches) of the edge of the crib should be covered. Consider which outlet to use. The outlet should be at least 36 inches (0.9 meters) away from the crib to ensure no exposed cables will be within baby's reach.

Question:	Is the distance range really close to 1,000 feet? I want to use this as a barn monitor for baby goats, and our barn is quite a ways from the house
Answer:	During lambing season, we left the "parent" portion plugged in at the barn and the baby monitor in the house. I often had to relink the devices when I went down to the barn, but then I could listen to be sure everything was fine in the house or use the walkie talkie feature to page my husband for help during late-night treks to check for lambs. I'm not great at judging distances, but our barn is probably 200'-300' away from the house and we were using it in the basement.
Question:	Is anyone using two (2) of these units successfully without problems
Answer:	Yes, we have two units and are using them because we wanted more than 2 parent monitors. You cannot link the two, but we wanted more parent units. Here is what we did. - Put both baby monitors in same room - One set of parent units will "hear" one of the baby monitors - Other set of parent units will "hear" the other baby monitor - Put the 4 parent units in the rooms we wanted them in. All 4 parent units will hear the same thing - Only drawback is that only 2 parent units can talk to each other; the other 2 parent units can talk to each other Works for what we need. Gives us 4 parent units, and we put 2 for daytime use and 2 for night time. The daytime parent units are in different rooms, which we will be in during the day. The 2 for night time are near the bed or TV room. It has been working for us.
Question:	Does the baby unit have a rechargeable battery too, or just the parent unit
Answer:	I would love for the baby unit to be battery operated but contrary to the first reply, it doesn’t have a battery mode to use without having to be plugged in, just the parent unit.
Question:	Why did you buy this product instead of a video baby monitor? Is it just price, or something else? Trying to decide for myself
Answer:	The video monitors do no filter the noise coming from the baby’s room. We have a more expensive video monitor and ended up buying this one to replace it because the sound quality on the video monitor was terrible and when it transmitted the noise machine from the nursery it was impossible to sleep through. This monitor only transmits sound above a custom level that you set, so you don’t listen to every little peep from your little one, just the distress calls.

Question:	Once mounted to the wall, is the camera easy to remove for frequent travel
Answer:	Yes, you just put a screw in the wall and the camera hooks on to screw. And you just slide camera up to remove from the screw, very easy to remove and replace camera.
Question:	When monitoring two rooms, if scanning one room and sound is detected in the other will I still hear it
Answer:	No, you would only hear the active room. We use the scan1 setting, it's fairly quick, probably 5 seconds or so. Hasn't been an issue.
Question:	Can this additional camera be placed in a different room to monitor 2 kids in 2 different rooms at the same time
Answer:	Yes it sure can! The parental unit has a scan mode that flips through the cameras every 30 seconds. I prefer this to a split screen monitor because then I still get the sound.

Answer:	We are glad to let us know that second camera will be available to purchase within a month.
Question:	Can I charge this in Europe with a simple adapter
Answer:	The unit comes with 2 AC adapters with female USB ports. One is for the camera and the other is for the monitor. These are the standard ones that most cell phone chargers use. The one I have for the monitor has the following printed on it. "Input: 110-240V 50/60HZ 0.35A max" and "Output: 5V 2000mA". So depending on the European country and what the electricity supply there looks like, the answer is YES if the supply falls within the input range above, but you should confirm. Given the input range, you probably don't need to buy a separate converter/transformer to step up or down the power. It's probably better to just use the AC adapters that came with the unit.
Question:	Is there a multi camera option
Answer:	There is a setting for it on the monitor. It includes an option to cycle between cameras.
Question:	I am sure I am not the only one wondering... But when are you launching the second camera feature
Answer:	Today is April 8, 2019, and we have also been waiting patiently for a second camera based on the seller's promise of Mid-March or Mid-April. To the seller, please provide an update to the timeline, or we too will soon have to consider switching to an option that allows for two or more cameras. It is a great product, but we are/were depending on a second camera functionality.
