Answer: Yes. It is quality leather. It is the kind that will scratch though. I prefer that kind because it gets weathered over time. I think one of the reasons it is less expensive is that the strap isn't leather (again I wanted that to keep it lighter) and all the pockets are fabric lined. I have had it for a few months now and am extremely happy with the quality.
