Answer:	It can fit maybe like a notebook, a binder is a tight fit but maybe it could if you smashed it in and didn’t zip it. Definitely can’t fit a bunch of school books, but maybe reading book... It’s a good bag, I love it. Good size and good material.

Answer:	To be honest, I’d hate to say yes straight off. It’s single stitched around, except for 4-5 dbl( over stitched. The patch is a thick leather. Being all cotton, if safely removed, it might work to wiggle out the stitch hole. It’s lined so I couldn’t see the backside stitching for you. I did take a picture and will try to upload it.
