For the person you want to purchase for, I would say go to the XL/XXL only because of her pants size. The robe seems to run bigger in the top. If you go smaller, it very well may fit her top, but be to snug around the bottom. It is a "big and fluffy" robe, but oh so snuggly and warm. Hope this helps.
