It was not be suitable for sailing, I think, because the fabric is not stiff enough, and ub any case it's not waterproof. For sailing I would recommend something more substantial, like duck, with a wide brim. However, I love this hat: it's very atttractively shaped and is womanly without being "girly." I've had many compliments on it. Of note, I originally bought it in what thought would be a more traditional beige color, which turned out to be far too "orangey.' (I sold that hat to an aquaintenance who didn't mind the color. All in all, I highly recommend this hat. |
