Answer:	No it does not. ...I wish it did though, because this lady bug is just so perfect except for that.... it stays on for 30 or 45 minutes something like that... and you can set it it to just one color or to rotate the colors. I love the red color reflecting on my girls' pink walls. It's so pretty. .... Please note our older model "purple turtle" does not have a function that rotates the colors ( and does not have same colors as the ladybug) , but it too does not stay on all night.

Answer:	It has to be fairly dark. You wouldn't be able to see it very well if a lamp was on, but a night light is okay. The constellation is a soothing, soft light.

Answer:	You do not need to generally wash it just for hanging out. I generally try to give it some distance from the baby, but you can hand wash it by basically spot cleaning the whole thing. I had to do this once when my whole family got the flu at the same time and everything got covered in vomit. I just used some soap and water on a wash cloth and a little oxyclean pre-treater spray, and it was great.

They look quite the same to me except that the Melissa & Doug entrance cover is not clear.
