Answer:	We made a simple test that when the largest weight it bears is 5kg. We added more weight when it reaches 5kg, the key ring started to deform. It's not accurate but I think it's heavy duty enough for keys.

Answer:	They are metal but I don't know what kind. I also am not sure how the balck coloring is affixed. It seems stronger than electroplating. They are working well for what I wanted but I'm not super hard on them.
