Do your baby a favor and care about his/her comfort. Bassinets are meant to be taken room to room with you, the only risk your baby will be at is the presented when you leave him or her unattended, swaddle the baby comfort the baby and monitor the baby closely, it is not necessary to leave your baby on a hard flat surface with no blankets, that is ridiculous and over the top, babies have accidents when they are not watched.

For a waterproof solution, I purchased the LUCID 100% Waterproof Pillow Protector - QUEEN size. YES, a pillow protector!! For $14.99 I received 2 protectors with a cozy terry cloth top surface that does not change the feel or sound of the mattress. The fit is snug but the entire mattress fits inside this pillow case & zips closed. Just make sure to order the QUEEN size.

It's not super bulky but if your traveling with it and give it to the ramp staff make sure you take off the cup holder and phone holder because mine hot busted off or taken off and now I do not have them. Question:	How easy is this to transport
Answer:	Hi We used ours for about 8 weeks and it was secure and safe, before moving our baby to the bottom part for another 4 weeks before moving her to her own bedroom.
Question:	Is this version smaller than the regular pack n play? I read standard pack and play sheets dont fit this model because it is smaller
Answer:	I'm sorry but I can't be sure but babies roll over and it's always important that you use the matress it comes with to avoid suffocation when the baby does start to roll and move around. It was fine for my nephew he's about 3-4 months and still sleeps in the top part of the playpen. Sleeps through the night.
Question:	Is the bassinet/bouncer part a safe sleep space
Answer:	Yes. Both napper and changing station are removable. It is assumed that you will use the napper until the baby is old enough to start rolling over - then you take both napper and changing station off and use the bassinet.
Question:	Is the bassinet safe and secure enough for a newborn to sleep in overnight
Answer:	I liked using the napper outside of the pack n play and laying it on the sofa or bed as a soft place for baby to lay down on. I like the shade on it too to keep the light out of it's eyes. We did not use it as an overnight sleeper, because we were not sure it was good for the baby to not be on firm bedding, so we did not take the chance. The higher sleeping area is where he first slept. The baby will not sleep overnight anyways.
