Answer:	These are not horse riding boots, they're fashion. Horse riding boots have a lot of traction on the soles and either come just above the ankle or all of the way up to the knee and are very form fitting (for English) mid calf if Western. If you get boots without a lot of traction on them your kids foot will keep coming out of the stirrups/irons.

Answer:	There is a size chart located on one of the product images (the last of six images). But for reference... my daughter is a petite 11 year old, weighing about 65-68 lbs, and about 4’5”. I ordered a size large and she has some room to grow, but they do fit (just not snug/fitted). She loves them so much we ordered a second pair in another color. Hope that helps!
