Answer:	If you're able to get breathable then do it. I haven't worn it in the summer but I've worn it all day at home and I'm comfortable even with plastic wrapped around my stomach underneath. Almost pulled my fingers from the nailbed trying to stretch the thing. I’m gonna send back the med and order an xl. I’ll keep the large until I try the xl. Considering I wear a med in JR. Answer:	I got a small and I really should have gotten a medium. I would go a size up from what you usually get... this item is really sturdy and isn't going to do any stretching. BUT, in all honesty, you cannot do anything in this shaper. It is unbelievably restricting and I only wore mine for a week. I have since switched to one of the light fabric ones with the steel boning and I'm much happier. I can actually go for a long walk wearing it and not feel like I'm suffocating.
