Answer:	Can't say for sure but probably supply and demand. Most people are going to want the smaller size because the large one is very difficult to store. I actually ordered both and returned the big one because it wouldn't fit in my cabinet. The quality is the same for both. If you I'm going to leave The Cutting Board out on the counter all the time, or if you have room to store the large one, I would get it. If you don't have the room, get the "small" one; it's plenty big enough - I've sliced 3 tri-tips at the same time on mine.

Answer:	The lug width is 18mm -- if you get a two-piece nylon watch strap e.g. not a NATO strap it will last longer than the stock rubber strap.

Answer:	I think a previous commenter may be on to something. I've worn this model for decades, and generally each watch has lasted at least half a dozen years. I've worn them swimming in the pool and in the ocean, and diving down to 20 m. Once or twice before, a watch I'd had for many years got some water inside after a prolonged period in the water. My latest F91-W got water inside and portions of the display failed the first time I had it submerged (an hour and a half in a hot tub, underwater more about half the time). So maybe Casio changed something about the materials or manufacturing process that makes it more susceptible to water. Still, I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for exposure like kayaking, pouring rain, taking a swim, etc. In any case it's an incredible watch -- super light, very long battery life, useful functions, unobtrusive and unpretentious -- and a new one is just a day or two and a dozen dollars away if you choose to use it in submersion settings and it fails. (I wouldn't press the buttons while it's submerged, though: that's asking for trouble.)

Answer:	I don't see an answer here that helps me. The key measurement is circumference, not diameter. Wrists are oval, not round. My wrist is 8-3/8" circumference, so I would need a strap that is at least 9-3/8" to have enough strap to tuck into the retainer to hold the end of the strap from sticking out of the buckle. That would be 9-3/8" from the inside edge of the outside part of the buckle to the other end of the strap.

Answer:	It is NOT completely silent, but you can only hear ticking if you put it directly next to your ear.
