User questions & answers
Question: | how to change the day of the week on timex watch |
Answer: | The watch is basically a 24 hour watch. So every 24 hours the day of the week advances. Advance or decrease the minute hand. For every 24 hours the day of the week increases or decreases. |
Question: | can links be removed in this band |
Answer: | Yes, links can be removed from this band. |
Question: | How do you set the day of the week on this thing? I can't get it to advance unless I crank the Minute & hour hands 24 hours is there a faster way |
Answer: | Pull the stem out slowly and gently you will feel the first position this is for the date all the way out is for the time, took me a couple of tries also, but it works... |
Question: | Since this watch is small, can someone who has it tell me the size of their wrist |
Answer: | My son has a small wrist. We took the watch to a mall jewelry store and they measured his wrist and took out three links to fit him. Charged us only $5.. |

Answer: | What watch battery does a mens Timex Easy Reader use? |
Question: | can someone please tell me what exact replacement battery goes with this watch |
Answer: | By God you are so lucky ..... I just got one in the mail with NO BATTERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Question: | Are the hands white or silver |
Answer: | Second hand is silver, other two are white. |
Question: | I have a big wrist, how do you add links to adjust |
Answer: | The watch takes links just like any watch, I'm not sure where you would find extra links, maybe big box store? You can also change the band totally, it is not permanently attached. Question: | small wrist |
Answer: | Just the leather is 8 inches long.I hope this helps.Beverly |
Question: | for someone with a small wrist- can some of the links be removed |
Answer: | It is not CR1216. Correct one is SR626, which is the standard watch size battery. Best to look at actual battery for correct number. |
Question: | can the battery help restore a fading indiglo light |
Answer: | The long section is 4 3/4 inches. Too big for me. I've been buying this model of watch for many years and really liked it WHEN I could get the shorter band. This one extends 2 inches beyond the buckle on my wrist, so it's always catching on things. Ugh! |
Question: | Will this watch fit a small wrist |
Answer: | It does not withstand a shower, wore mine once in the shower band fell apart and does not work anymore Amazon only has a 30 day return policy so they tell you to go thru Timex and they give you a run around. Bought it in August it’s January and no one can do anything won’t buy another watch thru Amazon!! |

User questions & answers
Question: | will this watch track the correct date for each month |
Answer: | No. You have to change the date by hand if the month has fewer than 31 days. I think that's what you are asking. |
Question: | What's the difference between timex tw2p759009j and timex tw2p75900 (https://amzn.com/b01448xniy |
Answer: | The respondent that said they're the same is mistaken. If you compare item specs, the band material used on the TW2P759009J is synthetic leather, hence it's priced about 20% lower. The color and texture is noticeably different, so make sure you received the right product.Well, I guess the watch itself is probably the same, which might be what he/she meant, but the wrist band is not. |
Question: | Width of case |
Answer: | Hello, thank you for your question! Case width for this watch is 38 mm. |
Question: | How long does the battery last |
Answer: | This is the only watch my husband wears and it is every day, I think the battery lasts him about 3 years before he goes to our local jewelry store to get a replacement for about $6. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How do you adjust the band |
Answer: | I use a Zagg screen protector life time warranty. No issue with it. |
Question: | can this watch be made to fit a 6.5 inches small wrist |
Answer: | It does not come with a screen cover. My suggestion is use the Lexerd screen protector which fits nicely after you install the watch band. Its fits perfectly (Lexerd). Available on Amazon or Lexerd site. |
Question: | I am looking for a larger band for this watch however no where Does it state how big the band is can any one help....PLEASE a gift for my husband |
Answer: | It’s not glass. It’s a flexible hard plastic. |
Question: | Which part lights up? The hands or the numbers |
Answer: | It's thinner than the original glass screen protector, but that makes it look great when placed as it fits on the screen with full size not like the other ones that takes a part of your screen and make it look smaller. Easy to install |

User questions & answers
Question: | Why does my watch hands not move?I just got this month, and even have not opened the package |
Answer: | We need to open the package, put the time and date to start the clock point and pressing (closing) the crown. This is also to conserve the battery. |
Question: | Can ladies wear this watch |
Answer: | My first (decades ago) was marketed for Nurses (M or F) with small 13 to 24 hours next to the Black 1 to 12. So for anyone (M, F or Otherwise) who wants or needs an Easy-to-read analog watch with Date and Day-of-Week it's a great illuminated battery watch. |
Question: | I give up. How can i set the day of the month on my new t2h281 easy reader? Timex gives no readable instructions in box or on internet |
Answer: | The instructions are terrible. Pull the stem out carefully, part way to change the day of the month. If it is still on the minutes, push it in paret way. |
Question: | My husband just had cataract surgery so cannot see his watch at night. now that he is far sighted, could he read this watch at night |
Answer: | The face glows very brightly, and the hands are thick and easy to see. I, too, am far sighted, and gave up using a digital watch because you have to "read" the numbers, not "see" the hands on the clockface. |

Answer: | Not down...filling is very warm and soft like down...very well made jacket...I would buy again! |
Question: | Is this lightweight and not bulky? Can I wear this in the pool and ocean? I have thin wrist is this adjustable |
Answer: | Not sure how cold Maine gets but it does keep you warm. I live in Illinois and it's perfect for around here. Even when we had our arctic weather I feel it was still warm. Definitely recommend the coat. |
Question: | Does this have a date function? I'm looking for a watch that doesn't and that is easy to read |
Answer: | no |
Question: | Will this fit a 6 inch wrist comfortably? Too small |
Answer: | Extremely light weight . Perfect for backpacking. I rolled it up and put it in my knapsack. It keeps you warm too BUT I had feathers all over my blouse . If you don’t mind the feathers I would definitely recommend it . |

Answer: | The numbers are black, they glow with a green color when the button is pressed......Hope this helps.... |

User questions & answers
Question: | What are they trying to say with this?: "Water resistant to 99 feet (30 M): withstands rain and splashes of water, but not showering or submersion |
Answer: | This is the standard way of notating water resistance. Its saying the watch can withstand the pressure equivalent of 30M of water - perfectly still water and a perfectly still watch. Move the watch about and it increases the pressure drastically. You want 10ATM, (100M) water resistance, minimum, to go swimming in it and be confident nothing will happen to it. At 30M it might be fine, it might not. |
Question: | Is this the version with the red second hand? The user pictures show the hand as being olive, but the official picture shows it as being red |
Answer: | I purchased the Black watch and it comes with a Red second hand. |
Question: | Does this have Indiglo |
Answer: | Hi Stacy. Yes, this Timex watch does have the Indiglo backlight. |
Question: | Any one come up with a Fix for how loud this watch is? Drives me nuts |
Answer: | Here's a modification to make the watch less noisy. 1) Purchase an ordinary watch repair kit; that can run as little as $12, $14. 2) Clear a counter in the kitchen. 3) Disinfect the area where the work will be done. It must be sparkly clean. 4) Have some alcohol on hand. Now, with those preparations out of the way, put the watch face-up on the counter. Grab a hammer and beat the sumbich until it's about the thickness of a quarter. That should fix the problem. Take a shot or two of the alcohol. Order a new watch. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is the crystal glass or plastic |
Answer: | Technically, all watches go "tick tick tick." Even an automatic Rolex beats 8 times per second. This appears to "sweep" to most people. You can get affordable automatic watches that come close to this type of movement. They beat 6 times per second. "Sweeping" is usually a feature of automatic watches, and as far as I know, the only chance you've got at a semi-affordable watch that's battery driven (quartz) and "sweeps" is the Bulova Accutron II Precisionist which beats 15 or 16 times per second and costs $350. A cheap Asian automatic or "mechanical watch" that sweeps would be about $75 , but expect no frills or name brands (there may be a Seiko or two near that price point too). Or you could quick kicking tires and go find a good Swiss watch such as a Tissot for about $350 on a site like Jomashop. |
Question: | What is overall band length |
Answer: | The watch does not know the date. You have to manually adjust it. You do this by pulling the stem VERY gently about halfway out. If you pull it out too far, the hands will turn instead. When you pull it out just the right amount and turn the crown in one direction, the numbers change from 1 to 31 and if you turn the crown the other way, the days will change. It might take a little finagling, but you'll get it. One more tip... the date changes at midnight, which means it might change too soon the next day if you set it at the wrong 12 o'clock. It doesn't let you know whether its AM or PM like a digital watch, so you have to keep track of that yourself. Still... I love this watch. Numbers are nice and large and the dial lights up at night. Lovin' it. Hope this helped. |
Question: | Does this Timex men's wrist watch have a "sweep" second hand or does it go tick tick tick, which keeps me awake at night |
Answer: | I had the band it comes with removed & an adjustable band put on, so I'm not sure. |
Question: | How do I configure the date? how does the watch knows that february has 28 days and the rest |
Answer: | The numbers are black, they glow with a green color when the button is pressed......Hope this helps.... |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can the watch band be replaced |
Answer: | This offends me so much. The answer is yes this is a “basic watch” it’s purpose is to tell time, that is all. nothing else. it is classy, functional, durable and has a 50 years isotope glow in the dark feature, shapire glass, quarts movement accuracy, and a lithium battery that needs to be replaced every 5 years. It’s is worth the investment. Unless you cannot afford quality. It isn’t your watch keep moving, buy a smart watch so you can see the weather report. |
Question: | Does the watch tell the date |
Answer: | 200 meters. And for what it's worth, this particular watch is the best damn watch I've owned. I have a pile of watches. This is the only one havent had to replace parts on. Glass still dosent have a scratch in it. "Knock on wood" and I've beat it up! |
Question: | Unable to set date and day china instruction sheet is not help very confusing. Very dissatisfied. Is there a video somewhere |
