Answer:	I have an SKX007 as well as the Seiko Turtle PADI edition (SRPA21) and they are different in a few ways: 1). The PADI Turtle features a movement with hacking seconds and manual winding capabilities. 2). The Turtles (SRP collection) have a different case shape (cushion style) and are larger in diameter 3). The dial on the PADI turtle (PADI ed. only) has a sunburst-effect blue dial with PADI branding above the 6-o-clock marker.All in all, I have both an SKX and an SRP because I like them both for different reasons. Can't go wrong with either! But head-to-head the SRPs have the slight edge with the better movement.

Answer:	18mm. Seiko springbars are great, I've never broken one. Google "snk809 wornandwound" for some pretty pics. Lots of NATO/Zulu/mil spec strap options but stay away from the cheap ones. Look for ones that thread stitch the seams and not just heat welded. Maratac, Clockwork Synergy, Nato International are good brands to start looking.

Answer:	30 METERS (3 bar or atmospheres) which equals 100 FEET - the product description is incorrect and backwards. That being said, most 30m rated watches are okay for being quickly splashed for cleaning, but not rated to be WR for swimming pool or beach. This is not a dive watches which usually starts at 100m Water Resistant depths and have screw-down crowns.

Answer:	I love this watch but you don't wind it conventionally. It is automatic so you have to tilt it back and forth and the pendulum inside does the winding for you. Simply wearing the watch will wind it up and then it is good for 24 to 30 hours on standby. If you wear it every day it will keep good time. If it sits for a couple of days you will have to set the time and date, tilt it back and forth a few times and then it is good to go.

Answer:	Must Seiko 5's are water resistant, or 100 feet (30 meters), which means splashes only, no swimming. The photo of the back of the watch shows tha this watch is only water resistant not 100 meter. Either the seller has trouble with units or honesty.

Answer:	I spent the few dollars involved and had a jeweler remove them since I have a small wrist. If you do it yourself without the proper tools, you will inevitably screw up the design of the watch band which I don't believe is worth it. Bob Geluz

Answer:	It does not have a light - it is a mechanical watch, so it does not have any batteries either. The hands and hour markers on the face do glow in the dark though.

Answer:	Most of the answers here are simply wrong. I own this watch, have an accurate digital caliper and know how to use it ;-). The SNK793 has a case diameter of 37.4mm; the dial diameter is 30.4mm.

Question:	Is this watch solar power meaning can it be charged by any light, just like a eco drive
Answer:	No. This is a completely different type of watch. It doesn't have any battery, and doesn't have any electrical motors and does not have a quartz crystal. It's a mechanical watch, meaning its power of movement comes from a wound spring, which is allowed only to unwind very slowly. This regulated unwinding of the spring rotates a series of gears, which in turn causes regular ticking of the second hand and slow circular rotation of the minute and hour hand, and the flipping of day and date. Quite a clever thing. But **NOT** solar. Solar watches keep time by passing electric charge through a quartz crystal, a method of timing that's much more accurate than the pendular motion of a wheel mounted on a fine hairspring that regulates the 'escapement' of energy from the main spring of mechanical watches. It's probably good to be aware that quartz watches, including solar,k keep time to about 10 seconds per month, (or better, usually), and automatic watches are doing pretty well to keep time withing 8 seconds per day (or 250 seconds, 4 minutes per month! Why would anyone want a mechanical watch then? No particular good reason really; a child-like fascination with mechanical things, mostly, I think.

Answer:	the strap starts measuring 22mm but ends in 18mm where it fits the buckle

Answer:	I know this is late, but it may still help you or others out there. All automatics are affected by gravity when on the nightstand or resting overnight. The position you rest the watch in has a direct effect on its timekeeping. As a general rule, face up or down usually gains a few seconds while crown (stem) up or down will cause the watch to lose a few seconds. Each watch is different and you have to experiment to see what his watch likes and doesn't like. There is a free app called Atomic Clock & Watch Accuracy Tool (with NTP Time) that will let him track his watch overnight so he can figure out the best resting position. It's best to wind the watch fully by hand in the evening, record the precise time, wear it the next day, and re-record the time 24 hours later. This may take a few days to complete since there are 4 positions for resting and you should really give the cycle a couple of days in each position before you change to the next. Normally, automatics come with a +/- 20 to 40 second per day disclaimer from the manufacturer. However, with the right adjustments, they can be +/- 1 second per day timepieces. My $300 Invicta Swiss actually keeps better time than my $7500 Rolex Sub by 5 seconds per 30 day period The Invicta Swiss gains 10 seconds per month and the Rolex 15. Both have been regulated and beat error adjusted by a certified horologist. I have automatics from Seiko and Orient too, and adjusted they are +/- 1.5 to 2 second per day watches. I hope this helps.

Answer:	Yes, "automatic" means self-winding. It also means it's a mechanical watch and not a quartz (battery operated) watch. The term "automatic" is a term from well before battery operated quartz watches existed. Older watches either had to be manually wound on a regular basis (generally people wound their watches daily) - then when self-winding watches became available, (and that was a very long process before they became reliable and affordable) - they were called "automatic".
Question:	How do I stop the second hand to set the exact second? I pull the crown out to the second position, but the 2nd hand doesn't stop
Answer:	While the movement is non-hacking (i.e. the seconds hand doesn't stop when you pull out the crown), there is a way to make it stop: pull out the crown all the way into time setting mode, then begin to slightly turn back the time. No need to keep turning it back, just turn it back a fraction and then hold it steady and keep holding it, eventually the seconds hand will stop. This happens more easily when the main spring isn't fully wound. (When fully wound it may not work at all). This applies to all watches with this 7S26 movement.

Answer:	Because of the fat day/date window taking up so much space, that's why. Squeezing in another index will render the said areas too crowded; not elegant. No, personally speaking, it's not annoying at all. Aesthetically, it has done no wrong. Then again, it's my personal opinion. I simply adore this watch.
