Your feet will get wet. But, I'm guessing you're asking if the materials are water resistant and won't break down much like leather, etc. will if exposed to water over long or repeated periods. If the latter is your question then yes, they seem to be designed to wear on the beach while walking in shallow water. In fact, that's why we bought them for our son. They've been wet several times and are holding up very well. I don't see where the exposure to water will cause them to break down over time.

The soles and the uppers last forever, but the insoles don't retain their cushioning that well - 4 months and 200 miles and I'm ready for another pair. They don't do well in sand, and do really badly in water. I have been very careful not to get my current pair wet, but I got my first pair soaked once, and after they dried, the insoles had lost a lot of their rebound. After the insoles have gone flat after a couple hundred miles or after getting wet, these shoes should have a whole second life washing cars, at the beach, or whatever.

Answer:	Put them on and prepare to be amazed. My last flip' was made by NIKE and I would only use them to walk less than 400-500ft. If I had to walk 3 miles in a flip this would be the one I'd use; & there is no second place choice. ENJOY!

Question:	The description says there is a 13-14 option, but it doesn't come up in the drop down. Is the 11-12 large enough if my foot is closer to size
Answer:	I had the opposite experience as the other two... the bottom part of the sole grips fine when wet, but my feet slide on the sandal. Don't try to walk up a hill in the rain.
Question:	They say they go up to size 12 but i only see
Answer:	That would be a safe bet. Reef Fanning are extremely accurate in their sizing and seeing is how there are no half sizes, I would definitely go up instead of down ... no one likes their toes coming out the front ; )
Question:	Where are these izod sandals manufactured
Answer:	I bought men's sandals. Those, in the picture appear to be women's.
Question:	Do these have any arch support
Answer:	I purchased these after a friend's son left his pair on a vacation we were on with them. I like the style and comfort. We brought them home in our truck and left them there for about a day. The next day I went in the truck for Church and couldn't stand the stench from the flip flops. Our friend said her son (16 years old) has smelly feet so she was not surprised. I was concerned about this but bought them anyway. I haven't noticed any smell from mine and I have worn them quite a few days where my feet sweated. I have gotten them wet as well and they dry fairly quickly.
