Answer: | Size 9 is 1.9lbs each |
Question: | Does this come in a composite toe with no metal in it |
Answer: | This is not a safety toe. It is very soft. |
Question: | If I wear a 12w should I buy a |
Answer: | Yes. I would go up one size. I wear a 9 in the standard Muck. 9.5 all other shoes, and a 10 fits perfect in the Arctic Ice Extreme. |
Question: | How much do they weigh? I would be ordering at 10 or 11 mens |
Answer: | My size 11 Arctic Ice Mid Work boots are 32.4 oz each. I highly recommend the Muck brand for wet, muddy conditions. I own a pair of Muck Chore series. I picked up the Arctic Ice boots for frigid weather. Perhaps others have had better experience but I was disappointed with respect to temperature range. Temps were in the mid 20's I was wearing moisture wicking winter socks (not cotton). Within an hour my feet were uncomfortably cold. I picked up a pair of Sorel Caribou boots. (same temp specs as Arctic Ice). Temps were in the single digits. Wearing the same base layer as before, I was working outside for a couple of hours and my feet were nice and toasty warm. More expensive but more comfortable. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How's the traction on wet floors or icy snow |
Answer: | Just got mine in today. I must say I’m not impressed with the traction when transitioning from wet outdoors to dry tile. I’ve almost ate it 4 times today. But I bought them for the warmth and they are indeed warm. |
Question: | Does this come in wide |
Answer: | I usually take a 3E or 4E and going one size larger worked very well me. |
Question: | Will these boots keep feet warm below |
Answer: | Wore them during flooding daily last Jan, Feb and March. Kept my feet warm and dry in freezing snow melt waters sandbagging in the Sierra Nevada mtns.. also on several hunting trips last winter. I like them so well i own 2 pair so i have one pair in my fire crew carrier and one pair at home. Hope this helps. 5 stars |
Question: | Are they easy to slip on |
Answer: | These were ordered for my husband. He has found the boots to be easy on and off with medium weight wool socks. It is best to put them on while seated, however they can be put on while standing without too much difficulty. He has worn them in zero degree weather and says they are adequate in those conditions. Good traction in loose and compacted snow. |

Question: | what is the circumference of the leg opening |
Answer: | Hi Tracey...I measured them at 17.5 inches circumference at the top. They are neoprene at the top, so they do give a little. |
Question: | so i work out in the coldest weather in Northeast Montanan and it can get to -60 will muck boots keep me warm |

User questions & answers
Question: | How are these in a hot and humid tropical envirement? Asking for a friend |
Answer: | I live in South Carolina, and use these year around. When worn with typical socks (special moisture wicking socks are not required), these are comfortable enough to wear for hours even in summer. That being said, I try to use these for quick trips in the chicken yard, around the property or even to town. If I stick my bare foot in them the insole will stick to my foot on withdrawal, even after a few minutes. I do put them on a shoe dryer after extended wear. I WOULD NOT consider these suitable for wearing all day, summer or winter. |
Question: | Can't slide my foot in shoe w/o a struggle. too tight over instep. i have other muck boots-- same size and style. no problem. go up a size |
Answer: | I haven't found that to be much of a problem. Maybe I have a flatter food than he does. When I first got them it was a little bit of a struggle, but by tapping my toe down they usually slipped right on. A few times I would have to put my foot up on a step and with my finger run it around inside for my heel to slide in. As I wore these boots more and more, they have loosened up and now about 80% of the time I can just slip my foot in and slide it forward and my heel drops in. |
Question: | Do these run a bit large |
Answer: | I don't' feel as though they do and I have been buying them for years. Personally if they did I would not mind as I like to wear a heavier sock with them. |
Question: | Are they wide ? i have a short wide foot |
Answer: | I have a wide foot and they are okay for me |

Question: | I live in interior Alaska what are these boots rated too I see - 60 but not sure thought I'd ask |
Answer: | -20 anything colder. Your feet will get cold . Even with wool socks on |
Question: | Has anyone used these snowmobiling that can offer feedback on performance |
Answer: | Perfect boot for snowmobiling. |
Question: | Question for manufacturer or distributor only, "what is height of arctic ice boot from top of boot to the floor |
Answer: | 17-18” |
Question: | I'm having a hard time deciding between arctic pro and arctic ice. Does anyone have experience between the two |
Answer: | I have had two pair of the Pro and just bought the Arctic this year. I live on a large farm and mostly deal with mud. Both models are great. Minimal ice this year so my feedback on traction of the Arctic is limited. For the limited ice I had I saw no significant difference...but there is notable difference in the traction enhanced sole of the Arctic. (Just do not wear the Arctic on your wife’s hard wood floors...or...you will be sanding and staining if you do...) You cannot go wrong with either model. Other manufacturers are not as good as Muck Boots from my many years of using them. |

These men's winter boots with molded lugs are built with a fully-sealed rubber shell that extends high above the ankle for extra protection when walking in deeper snow.
Snow, slush, freezing rain, and all their gloomy allies do not stand a chance up against The Original MuckBoots' Arctic Sport boot. Waterproof and insulated, you say warm and dry with a tall boot shaft to offer extra protection in the drifts. A grippy sole keeps you firmly planted every step of the way.
The story began in 1999 with the sole purpose of building the most comfortable, high performance footwear on the market. The need for a more comfortable boot for use in messy and tough conditions led to the design of The Original Muck Boot Company brand footwear. Every boot in the line is expected to deliver the same 100% waterproof quality and comfort that inspired the original footwear. In just a few years, the line has grown to more than 20 styles, all designed to tackle tough conditions in agriculture, lawn and garden, outdoor sporting, equine, and pet care. Today, the Muck Boot brand defines a standard of comfort and quality that goes beyond the expectations of customers around the country.

User questions & answers
Question: | Do the Arctic Sport Boots have a steel toe |
Answer: | haven't had this particular type of muck boot but wouldn't have thought so as they are designed to keep your feet warm and dry. would have thought steel would have the opposite effect. |
Question: | DO these boots cinch at the top making a "seal" to keep water out |
Answer: | They don't have a cinch strap but the rim of the boot does taper inward slightly. If you're wearing them during a rain event, you should wear your rain pants so that they go over the boot rather than getting tucked into it. Any boot you choose will take on water if you go in deeper than the top of the boot. You'd need hip boots or waiters to prevent that. |
Question: | Does the muck arctic sport have a wool liner you can take out of the boot. or a liner of any kind....thank you |
Answer: | In the Arctic Sports that we sell there is not a wool liner that will come out, However the boot we sell is fleece lined with 2 mil Thermal foam insulation. |
Question: | Are these boots neoprene on the interior of the boot |
Answer: | There is a thin fleece lining; I bought the mens size, and just on the inside of the top of the boot there is a small gender size chart beneath which it states "50 percent rubber and 50 percent nylon", and advice to "wear medium to heavy socks". But they are the warmest boots of this type that I have ever worn. I live in the mountains of Western NC and I have worn them to feed and care for my horses for many days now when the early morning temps were hovering just a few degrees above zero, and my feet were never cold, even after extended periods. Sometimes my socks were not "heavy" or even "medium" thickness. They also have great traction in mud and snow. |
