To do this you pick a size that will cover the nail from edge to edge. If it’s too big choose a smaller size and if it’s too small try a larger size till you find the perfect tip for that finger. Then you will apply a even amount of super glue to the inside edge of the nail tip extensions (Side opposite the number) and place the glued edge on the tip of the finger and hold down on nail tip till glue is dried. Make sure you are attaching the tip straight so the nail doesn’t come out crooked. Repeat the tip selection, glue and drying for every nail.

They are a very heavy, stiff, and even 'clunky' shoe. They're stable and good walking shoe however (after I put extra cushioning in them) and they keep my feet warm and dry in heavy rain. I haven't yet gone hiking in them... but I'm wary a bit given their clunkiness though they're stable and would protect toe.

Answer:	These are more water resistant than water proof ( like a rubber wader) . They become much less water resistant with time . A treatment with a thick rub on type snow proofing product when you get them new will really help . Repeat as needed .

Answer:	No, these boots are no longer waterproof. Since 2016 they do not contain goretex. Mine started to leak in slushy snow after 3 weeks of use. These boots have been cheapened but the cost for them went up.

Answer:	Yes, they are perfect boots for shoveling snow. If you are in deep snow, get some gaiters and you have an awesome set of snow boots. Be sure to care for your boots by using a silicone rub such as kiwi minkoil. By the way, in the last 6 years I have been through 4 pairs of these awesome boots. I use them for my job (package delivery) and use them for outdoor activities like 5-15 mile hikes. Get some SOLE Ultra insoles and these puppies will keep your feet painfree especially if you are on you feet for 10-15 hours/day. The only bad part is that the tread wears out pretty fast. But that is probably my fault because I cover so many miles (~300 miles/pair) on them on the concrete, asphalt and mountain trails. I'll stop there, I love these boots and hope they never change them!!

Yes these boots will hold up - mine are over 12 years old and only now is the rubber starting to perish. Been through bushveld hiking in hot and humid South Africa and below -29 Celsius in the Alps!

Answer:	Timberland White Ledge boots are not insulated and so are not particularly warm in and of themselves. However, because they're mostly leather with few seams, they are very waterproof (many boots claim to be waterproof but are not--too many seams and non-leather parts) and keep your feet dry which helps keep them comfortable. You can buy insulated boots, but unless you're like my sister-in-law (her feet are always cold), they will be too warm in the summer. I much prefer to wear a non-insulated boot and then make them feel warmer/cooler by wearing wool socks in winter and cotton socks in summer. As long as your feet stay dry and you have good moisture-wicking wool socks, this sock method works for me in the winter. Make sure there's enough room in the boots for thicker wool socks--cramped feet will always feel cold.

Answer:	Yes, it works on snow. It is the very first shot boot I ever have. And if you notice I use "IS" not "WAS", because I am still wearing it now, since 2004. It is 15 years already. I only use it in winter time and raining day when the weather condition will not be safe with regular sneakers. I use this boot as snow day shoes in each year, for 15 years now, and the shoe is still in very good condition. I am thinking to get a second pair in different color now. BUT, I will not give this boot a 5 -star rating due to the very poor design of the show lace. For no reason, this round shoe lace constantly got loose when I was walking. After many years' upset with the original round shoe lace, I replaced it with regular flat shoe lace and it works very well now. Therefore, I suggest you also get a regular flat shoe lace ready when the round lace is not properly holding up, so you can just replace it.

Answer:	I disagree with the previous posts. I used them to hike down a very muddy and rocky trail to a the Queens Bath in Kauai and they were perfect. Tennis Shoes are a terrible idea for hiking. The mesh confirms to your foot and does not irritate or rub. The barefoot feel helped me navigate the rocky terrain; protecting my feet and allowing me to feel the ground beneath me. The holes in the bottom allowed me to rinse the mud out and dry quickly.

Question:	Can you return these if they don't fit
Answer:	I wear mine without socks. They fit just right without them. These shoes are meant to be water socks and work well for that purpose as well as every day normal wear.
Question:	I put a size 10 in black in my cart. when I look at my cart it says its size
Answer:	yes. easily washable. even the whole shoe
Question:	How are these different from the Moab waterproof hiking shoe which is somewhat cheaper
Answer:	My husband has wide feet and wears a 13/14, he said these have some strertch and he thinks they are comfortable
Question:	Even if I don't hike that much, would it be a mistake to use these as a walkinhg shoe
Answer:	I have work the Riding bike for a few months and they work well, however, the soles are bendable and you may find that you need to flex/stiffen your feet a bit for a solid anchor on your pedals. It didn't bother me, but a bike officionato (i.e., snob) would probably complain. Would have to try it to know if it works for you, personally.
