I want a wider size and according to the shoe size chart link, I wanted a 2E, not 4E Ultrawide, BUT Amazon Zappo's only stock the 'normal' Narrow and 4E Ultrawides. @WayneM, there is no 'half size larger' to select, apparently they don't pay attention to what people are buying and they don't bother to restock. I went ahead and ordered the D 'medium' which is actually very NARROW. The shoes came and they just fit me with the laces all the way stretched out. That said, I like them anyway - they're light and the sole is solid. The box only says size 10.5 and No width letter. And they don't show the width letter on the shoe's label either. Good shoe, not great sizing.So, Zappo's / Amazon has some work to do to avoid confusion and returns, just stock the medium wides, please. And start labeling the shoes better.

Answer:	They are thin and not lined with fleece but all of my crew use them to cover their ears or lower face and ears. We work outside so better than nothing great to keep the wind from blowing down your neck. These are suited better for summer (dust, and sun protection). I have never had a complaint from anyone I have supplied one to in the cold. Buff and other brands do make winter types.

Question:	if i was hunting rare tiger's to extinction in the Himalayas in the dead of summer would they hold up to the jungle
Answer:	I bought them anticipating I could run, not just walk/hike in them and keep me feet dry. They are unsuitable to run in... at least for my taste. They are a very heavy, stiff, and even 'clunky' shoe. They're stable and good walking shoe however (after I put extra cushioning in them) and they keep my feet warm and dry in heavy rain. I haven't yet gone hiking in them... but I'm wary a bit given their clunkiness though they're stable and would protect toe.
