Question:	Is the boot for warm weather
Answer:	I wear mine all the time. Warm enough for cold weather, but not too warm for warm weather. Obviously not something you would want to wear on the hottest day of the year, though.

Answer:	not as wide as I needed I order the half size larger as I normally do to get shoes that are wide enoung but no go. I could tel as soon as I put them on with regular socks that they were to narrow and to long. This seems to be the trend that shoe sizes are getting listed as wider but the shoe is a full size narrower then say 20 years ago. 2E should be fine for me nut not I am ordering 3Eand dreaming about shoes that re not to long so that they are wide enough.

Answer:	Yes. My husband is a size 10.5, and that's what we ordered. They fit him perfectly.
Question:	I wore mine out on a hike and while rafting they got soaked. how should i dry them? i'm afraid if i put them in the dryer they'll shrink
Answer:	You're going to want to sun dry them for several hours. Lets say it takes 6 after 3 hours put fabric softner sheets in the front like 2 or 3 each. Also it would be good to wash them. Let them sit in a bucket of warm water with some non damaging soap (use a old toothbrush to clean the nooks and crannies). This process takes 1.5 days one day to clean .5 to dry.

Answer:	I was hiking in Zion national in Utah a couple of weeks ago and trekked through mud and water and my feet stayed dry for the price you can't beat these boots very comfy 8 mile hike and my feet were good

Answer:	The boot is not any more heavy than other Hi-Tec or Merrell boots. However I would not purchase these again because the ripped within weeks od purchase doing only minor walking. Answer:	Yes. The tongue is either a softer leather or a faux leather and there's a bit around the padded ankle collar that's not leather, but the entire main part of the upper is leather; the toe box, the sides and back all leather.

Answer:	I think my understanding of your question as it is written may be off. The tongue is attached to the boot approx 2/3 up on either side. Which in my opinion keeps stuff out of the boot. Hope that helps.

Answer:	I think the lace length is dependent on the boot size, so if you have the boots, fully undo one of the laces and measure it.

Answer:	I've been wearing Hi-Tec Altitudes in different versions for over 10 years now. They have always been well made, light, and durable boots, but I did notice a change when they produced the Altitude IV's. From then on, it seemed that Altitudes were sized differently and less durable. I wore a 10.5 Wide in the earlier versions of Altitudes and they lasted FOREVER, but in the Altitude IV's I wore a size 9.5 Wide, and the soles wore out MUCH faster than the earlier versions. I still wear Hi-Tec Altitudes, though, as I still feel they are a great boot, even if they wear out quicker now. I am getting about a year and a half of almost daily wear out of the newer versions.

Answer:	Yeah that's to bad. Going to make it more difficult to creep in the kitchen and take grandma out to steal her cookies! Had SEVERAL PAIRS of these boots. Best side zip boots I've had. Every single pair have been "squeaky " until they are broke in. PS they will not scuff off the smooth "squeaky " surface on basket ball courts, bowling alley or grandma's kitchen floor. If you can, take em out on the "paint ball" yard (if your that daring) and results will satisfy.
