My Profi Birkis started making noise after about 14 months of use and having washed the insoles several times. I had to purchase new Birkenstock cork insoles (They fit both the profi and super birki) to get them to stop. The original polyurethane insoles were pretty worn out. I purchased the insoles for $33 locally, but they are available on Ebay shipped from Germany for around $23 total. |

| Answer: | I have not used the shoe on a sailboat, but I have worn it on a treadmill. I have to be careful to pick my feet up when I take a step because if I drag a shoe while treadmilling, I stop! The traction is excellent! |

| Answer: | Yes for comfort, but the shoe is very light duty so not sure they'd last very long with so much use, the soles are a more soft type of material. |

| Answer: | It's hard to say because we are all different and some feet are much more sensitive than others. Concrete floors are tough. My wife wears her shoes up to 9 hours straight and is in and out of the car making deliveries. Not really the same as 7 hours on concrete floors. She loves these shoes and says they give her feet a lot of support and keep her feet from getting tired. They fit like gloves. She's really happy with hers, but I'm sorry to say that doesn't really answer your question. Maybe it will help someone else. |

| Answer: | These shoes have great traction. The sole has deep channels and is very flexible; however, I don't these qualify as slip resistant compared to other shoes specifically designed for that (like restaurant shoes). |

| Answer: | The size would be listed with a W if they were wide. Medium widths are listed without W for wide or N for narrow. I love these Skechers and have 2 more pair waiting for me when my first pair wears out. Please search for women's skechers wide if you require a wide width. |
