Answer:	I'm not sure. I buy a 1/2 size bigger to accommodate the width. I've found the size increase (really about an 1/8 inch) is no factor....as I wear thicker socks at time and thinner as needed. The extra length puts the ball of my foot in the right place. I wear generic orthotics to save my feet (consider it, plantar facitutus sucks). Thin sock season? Put a thin Dr Scholls underneath. Ok...generic too.
Question:	Has anyone had a problem with these boots not being waterproof
Answer:	I live in the mountains in northern Colorado and I've worn (and worn out) Keen Targhee boots for many years. They're the most comfortable boots I've found. But they are not really waterproof. I would describe them as "water resistant". They work fine for awhile in heavy dew or an occasional step into a puddle that isn't too deep; but in drenched grass or continuous rain, my feet get soaking wet. I have tried wearing gators under my pant legs and over the Targhee's and that helps considerably - but my feet still get wet if I am hiking in wet conditions for several hours. I have a pair of Asolo boots with goretex that I wear in those conditions - but they aren't as comfortable.

I have 5 different at the moment, these, the mid-hiker version, the slides they make, casual shoes, and work boots.

Answer:	I used these to climb Quandary with a fresh dump of 24" of snow in a very wet spring. Yes, I got snow in my shoe as I sunk into extremely deep spots but it handled admirably and dried extremely quick. Very impressed that after such a long/wet/snowy hike that they dried and my feet showed no symptoms of being water logged or uncomfy. You can get those snow covers for boots and they fit these shoes just fine. Mine were the low cuts

Your normal street wear shoes are normally used walking on flat ground, out on the trails you often find yourself walking downhill--your foot slides forward a bit and if your shoes don't have enough space your toes press against the end of the shoe. I've encountered a person that had a toenail fall off because they wore their normal size on a long hike, and more than one with lesser injuries. Note that this is in no way specific to these shoes, you oversize all hiking shoes & boots.

I haven't bought Halo Vegan the last few times as the price got really high. I can't remember the pieces being big; about the size of a dime, and not too hard. I've been buying Wysong Vegan Kibble for cats and dogs. It has 26% protein . The pieces are really tiny and crunchy. I have two small dogs that are 6 and 10 years old and they don't have trouble chewing them. It also doesn't have much of a smell and is less costly but still seems like quality kibble.
