| Answer: | Hi Bridget, I'll try to describe the way they fit on me. They don't cover my ankle. The higher part of the hiker towards the front reach my ankle half way. Then they begin to slant down towards the back of the shoe. The laces do reach high up so there is room to tighten them as far up as they go. I'm 5'7" tall and don't know if that affects how high the hiker fits on me. They feel sturdy on and give great support. I wore them a lot this past winter here in the Northeast. They are waterproof. Beware though, as others have said they run narrow. I got a 9 1/2 wide, my normal size and had to use shoe stretchers in them at first. They did eventually widen out. I didn't buy them for hiking I bought them for sloppy winter weather. I'm not sure if this answers your question but I hope it helps. |
