I sincerely believe it is a false claim. Glare reduction, in this case, has to do with opacity and light reduction. Polarizing light has to do with multiple layers of lense on top of one another, in opposing light travel direction. Those cost no less than $55 for pair to manufacture in United States.

Why is yellow sight better for night vision?

Any view that we experience as color is no more than a different wavelength of an electromagnetic ray (spectrum). The human eye can notice wavelengths ranging from 400 nano (UV) to 760 nano (infrared). The yellow color is somewhere in the middle of that range and that’s why it is the most balanced and healthy color to the human eye. Shorter wavelengths (ultraviolet and blue light) are dangerous because they are easier to penetrate the cornea while longer wavelengths (infra red) can not be seen and do not have any illumination effect.
