Answer:	You can wash it. I do regularly. The UPF factor is created by the tight weave of the fabric. You can’t wash the sun protection out as long as the fabric stays intact.

Answer:	12” across and 21” around. It is quite adjustable around (soft velcro closure). Once on you forget it’s there. Super lightweight, doesn’t make your head sweat. Love it.
