Answer:	Mine did not - I'm always picky about that. It smelled fine. It's quite functional as an extra bag. If you're going to carry a lot of heavy items in it, you might want to add a pad to the strap, otherwise fine. Slightly better quality than I expected, just wouldn't want to carry heavy things too far with that strap.

Answer:	It will hold 45-50 pounds, but the strap will cut into your shoulder. If you plan on carrying more that 15lbs, I would recommend buying a shoulder pad for the strap

Answer:	I have only used it on Southwest and yes it will fit under the seat. You can check the under seat dimensions for other airlines with a quick google search.

It holds 3 firearms and all their accessories, as well as all the equipment, ear and eye protection, ammo, mags, etc., that the two of us, my wife and I, need to take to the shooting range. Its got pouches on both ends and one on the front. Unless you're planning on using this for a suitcase, I think you'll find it fully adequate for other matters. It's sturdy and well made...will last a long time I think. I recommend it and the seller.

Answer:	I see the original post is quite old, but for further questions... I just returned from a International trip where I used 2 of these bags fully loaded with 20 kgs. / 44 lbs. My limit was 50 lbs and neither my domestic carrier nor my international carrier batted an eye at the size. I flew Japan Airline and Co-shared my domestic flight with American Airlines. The ticket counter even joked I had could have carried 6 additional pounds in each bag. On my international flights they weighed the bags all at once. However, if you are on a strict airline that charges for everything, these are over the published sizes and could charge over size fees, but if they are under weight, they may look the other way.
