Answer:	No these won't hold up outdoors. The cord would but the lock itself would definitely break. I agree with the stainless steel mentioned before. Steel wire is great security, just check one out that has a stronger long lasting lock box on it. So it will hold up in temp changes and precipitation.

Answer:	Unfortunately, I don't own or use an ammo box. If the box can lock using a traditional keyed lock, I would think that the TSA Luggage Cable locks should work as well.

Answer:	Another person wouldn’t be able to set it back to 000 unless you were to leave it lying around unlocked as the lock has to be opened...now if someone had an airport TSA key to unlock it, it might be possible to reset it then
