Before you close the box, you lay the cable in the slot such that the washer is inside the box. Once the box is closed and locked, you can’t pull the cable out because the washer is bigger than the hole for the cable.

Answer:	As the leather "breaks in" it gets softer. Whatever you use it most for becomes it's strong point. Personally I wouldn't carry a heavy load too far by the handles. That's what the shoulder strap is for. It's a great bag. I use it constantly.

Answer:	I have not seen that at all with this bag, but I rarely wear white clothing. You might try to swap the strap out for a brown nylon....I love my bag!! I do have an older bag I was using that had a brown nylon strap that I could snap right on this bag if I needed. Or you could slide the leather protector down and just use the nylon under side of the strap that came with it.

Answer:	I carry a 15" laptop in my bag and if fits with a little extra space. I highly recommend this bag for its quality, but I'd guess a 17" laptop to be too large.

I was expecting to hear that the leather had split, or that the strap had become thread bare, but none of those scenarios have presented true. Buy the bag. Worth the money.

Answer:	Very spacious, my husband says it's the best bag he has ever had as far as quality.. It's held up great.. Still looks brand new.. I would only recommend it for in office though.. It's not an "outdoor work" bag by any means.. It is a perfect size for laptop, books, notebooks, etc.. You can definitely carry a lot and it all be protected..
