The REI one was discontinued in 2017 but it had smooth foam (vs. this one's foam appears to be pieced and a bit lumpy unless inflated fully), it's middle section was a bit taller which for me made it more comfortable a lumbar pillow, and it had silicone strips on the back that kept it in place (this pillow slips). I got this one after my REI pillow started to leak after 5 years' daily use at home. |

It is **very important** not to overfill it with air. It won't work if you blow it up like an air bed or air mattress. It needs to be roughly half full, so it squishes around under you. I still use it eastbound to Europe, but my wife doesn't--but only because these days she sleeps perfectly in any chair! |

| Answer: | First of all, Travelon makes two different cushions which I only found out when I ordered my second cushion. The one that is pictured has dimples on the top and sides, and a grippy texture on the bottom so it doesn't slide around. The dimpled surface will leave marks on exposed skin when sitting for long periods. The other version of the Travelon cushion (which in my opinion is the better one, but doesn't seem to be available anymore) has a faux suede-like feeling on the top and sides, but the grippy bottom isn't grippy enough. The only reason why I prefer it is because it doesn't leak air like the other one and it's easier to compress. |

Although it takes up some space, it is very light and convenient to carry and use. My issue is with the air leaking out mid-flight. But then I usually fly for 8-10 hours at a stretch. |

Obviously, you'd attach the duffel bag width-wise across the top of your 25" wheeled luggage so the answer depends on the width and not the length of your duffel bag. Even then, depending on how you attach it, it's going to be really unwieldy even if you can attach it securely. |
