Answer:	this one needs a small trick. You have to make sure that the blue strip end is completely sealed. to do so, I lay the bag flat, then grab both ends of the blue strip (longer one) and pull away from each other. if you see a bubble, try again. I never had to use a vacuum. it stayed vacuum sealed for multiple 20+ hour flights.

Answer:	Hi there - Dimensions: 11" wide x 16" tall x 5 " deep. Yes there is a tablet sleeve in main compartment. I can fit a DSLR with lens, extra lens, small flash and iPad in main compartment. With various other compartments I can also fit a wallet, iPhone, extra camera and flash batteries, extra camera cards, passport and some misc personal items (chapstick, tissues, etc). Deceptively roomy.
