Answer:	Yes. It barely fits, but my husband gets his 17" 2009 MacBook Pro in there. It's meant for 15" laptops which is why it's tight for a 17".

Answer:	Yes I just measured mine it’s exactky 14 inches tall

Answer:	No it was a difficult fit for a 1/2" binder. Backpack is only about 10" wide at the base and a bit smaller at the curve top. Plus the actual binder is bigger than an actual loose leaf paper. You will need to force it to go in the bag. Then the top edge of the bag will look square instead of round. You can go to Hetschel website for dimensions.
