Answer:	This is the cutest backpack. The buckles on the sides only work on the ones opposite them. For a younger child unfortunately the buckles are too close together for the child to be able to use them. My granddaughter who is now two years old can buckle them good and she loves wearing the backpack filled with things. When they sewed the buckles on they should have put more material on the ends of each one so the little fingers could get ahold of them to learn to use them.

Answer:	It occupies my 18 month old for about 5 -10 minutes at a time. It would likely be a bit uninspiring for most 11 year olds.

Answer:	Our two year old daughter does fine without a strap. You could if needed add a strap for the chest- one of those velcro straps. It's not a standard backpack. Although it holds a lot and has a little pocket on the outside you can put treasures or binki in.

Answer:	It is safe to assume it is made in China because mostly everything is made in China. I don't know which country would produce a product that requires this much detail and sell it for $27.99. If you need to ask this, I would suggest not buy it.
