Answer:	I would say a size 4. My daughter was 42 inches and 36lbs at the time and the size 4 was a tad too long even with the petticoat I got separately, so I returned that and got a size 2. The size 2 ended up fitting her waistline like a glove and was about 1-2 inches off the floor so we went with the 2. So being your daughter is slightly taller and heavier, then the 4 should work. The 6 would be too big.

Answer:	Follow the directions of the seller on measuring. I was in the same situation where I needed the dress quickly and was unsure of the sizing. I naturally wanted to order her usual size, but based on the seller’s instructions on how to measure, I went with those measurements. I am by no means a seamstress and never measure clothes.
