User questions & answers

Question: Two piece
Answer: Save your money, dont make the mistake i made. Its the cheapest pos available. You can go to crutchfield's site and put in you make and model of vehicle and it will tell u if it fits or not. But this thing is nothing but a headache in a box. This item is a disgrace to the history of pioneer products.
Question: One piece or two piece rod
Answer: "On" your phone or "from" your phone? I use the AUX connector on the back of the unit and an audio lead plugged into the headphone socket of my phone. The phone does connect via Bluetooth, but I have only managed to get that to work for phone calls, not music or map directions. When playing music from my phone, map directions will also be transmitted over the AUX source position, so that works great for e.g. Google or Apple maps on your phone. The units own map directions work brilliantly through the car speakers, lowering any music you are listening to.
Question: Hi, Could you please tell me what color this is
Answer: i don't think so
Question: Is it a 2 peices
Answer: You need to click on the specific seller that is selling the used item and "contact the seller" to have this question answered.

Question: Why all the information i dont care about. No pounds and line lenth anywhere ???? Wierd of you not to give that
Answer: Yes. Just do a youtube search on "parking brake bypass AVIC-X940BT". This will also allow you to display dvd video while your vehicle is moving. Obviously both can be distractions and they will most likely violate your local ordinance state law for distracted driving. So please take that into account before making that modification.

User questions & answers

Question: which reel best fot lite tackle
Answer: 1500 or 4500 would be good ! And you can also just get a heavy or light light depending on what you are fishing for
Question: I would like a BG 5000, why are they not showing as available
Answer: I think 47'4/ 22lbs is a 5000....pls someone correct me if im wrong....
Question: Would the 4000 be well suited for a surf setup? Or should I go bigger
Answer: Depends what kind of surf set up. For East Coast surf fishing where you’re using a 12’+ rod, lots of weight and bait, you probably want a bigger reel to match your setup. Even the next size up — tHe 4500 — has significantly more line capacity and drag. I think the 4000 is perfect for surf fishing on the West Coast. I use a BG4000 with about 250 yds of 40 lb PowerPro Max Cuatro on a ML 8’6” rod. Great for casting plastics, small spoons and Rapalas/Lucky Craft hard baits in the surf.
Question: Do you have size
Answer: no

Question: Is this rod graphite or fiberglass
Answer: Yes the rod does come apart. It’s not a stiff rod. Kinda flimsy. But the reel is great.
Question: Can I use this in salt water
Answer: I don't use an iPod or iPhone. My friend can connect to bluetooth with his iphone 6 and I can connect to bluetooth with Lumia 920, 925, 635 and 930 with Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 but not 10 beta. I would not get this if you can get the NEX model instead because it has AppleCar.
Question: can you move crank to either side
Answer: will this work with 04 lexus rx330
Question: What's the best line to use for this rod
Answer: I don't sell anything. I just reviewed the seller I bought from. I bought a rear view camera on Amazon, just used the search Window and chose the best one.

  • Air Bail–tubular stainless for lightweight strength
  • Digigear digital gear design
  • Dynamic Cut Aluminum ABS spool

MAGNETIC OIL

Magnetic Oil is one of a new generation of Nano Fluids that can change density and shape when a magnetic field is applied.

CORROSION RESISTANT BALL BEARINGS

Last up to 12 times longer than standard stainless steel ball bearings.

AIR ROTOR

The Air Rotor weighs up to 15% less than ordinary rotor designs. Its unique shape reduces unnecessary weight while distributing stress more evenly throughout the rotor for maximum strength.

ABS SPOOL

The ABS spool's maximized core diameter and reversed taper mean 100% useable line. No "dead" line buried in a deep core. You can fill it with line right up to the edge of the spool lip without fear of tangles. ABS cause less casting friction for longer and easier casting. The huge spool diameter line flow freely in larger coils and produces less line memory coil.

User questions & answers

Question: What does the size number mean
Answer: The number are the reel sizes for example bg8000 being the biggest reel they offer and I believe 2500 is the smallest they offer. Different sizes are need for different situations. More line and more drag on the 8000 would be good for offshore fishing but not so much from land.
Question: I got the BG 5000, need to pick a rod for shore fishing mahi mahi. Any have suggestions
Answer: Ugly stik tiger elite series. I have my 5000 on a 7ft tiger elite series.
Question: how big is it like in comparison to something
Answer: These reels run way bigger in terms of sizing than Shimano. the 3000 is like a 4000-4500 in terms of Shimano sizing. If you plan on using it for bass in freshwater, get a smaller size. This reel can handle bonito, striper, salmon, and other big fish. I hope that helps:)
Question: Is the 6500 a good size for a 10' 6" surf rod
Answer: Not too big at all. Many east coast fisherman use the 6500 as a jigging reel on 10' 6" rods. I have one on a Lami Xra 126 1MH

User questions & answers

Question: Will this hold and throw 5 lb braid
Answer: It should. Five pound braid is super slim, and the reel was sold with 6 pound mono, which is considerably thicker....
Question: How does this reel handle 2 pound line
Answer: 2lb. line all I use on my Diawa and I wouldnt use anything else for trout fishing. I'm still using my original Diawa minicast I bout when I was 14 years old. I just bought this new one to have a back up. Great reel!
Question: Will a slip bobber knot go into the reel
Answer: The cap will not allow much to be reeled inside, so you should be okay.....split shot may fit in....
Question: How do you thread the reel
Answer: Sheryl, to thread the spool just unscrew the cover (large round cover over the spool) and tie on your line. FYI I got this reel/rod combo a few years ago and it was terrible (sent it back and the manufacture and they replaced it with a spinning reel/rod combination). Go with the mini spinning combo! steve
Question: I am having some issues with line twist on this reel. How do I deal with this issue
Answer: Thats pretty inevitable on cheaper reels like this, after 1 or 2 days of fishing i usually need to replace the line or you can try gently warming up the line on the reel to make it remold itself however that only gets you so far. both this and a few other reels ive owned all had this problem, even more expensive ones, you really get what you pay for when it comes to fishing reels. this is really more of a introductory reel or a fish once or twice a year kinda deal, but if your fishing a lot i would recommend saving for a more mid range reel, like a abu garcia for around 40-50$ it can be a lot of money but you'll get way more out of it and they last a lot longer too, they can last years before needing fixed or replaced. as far as this reel goes your probably just gonna be spending quite a bit of time respooling it, its very frustrating. if you dont run any Swivels on the line then you can use those to help reduce the twisting. also sometimes i was able to get it to untwist if i pulld out all the line almost, or whatever length your going to use and just kinda stretch it a bit and run it through your fingers to unwind it a bit.Anyways hope you can get it figured out and goodluck with your fishing.
Question: Do you have to hold the line when you cast or can you just use the trigger
Answer: You just hold the trigger.
Question: is this for right or left hand retrievfe
Answer: It is switchable for right or left handed .
Question: What pound line comes pre-wound
Answer: It appears you are asking about the line size for a size 80 reel. I have only used size 120 reel, but according to the stated specifications: Specifications: Gear Ratio - 4.3:1; Line Per Crank - 21.8"; Weight - 9.2oz; Line Capacity - 8/75 = 75yds of 8lb line. Hope this helps you. Kevin
