| Answer: | We purchased the 4-6. My son wore it when he was a 4T and 5T but it became a bit too small for him to wear as a 6. So I'd say it's true to size and a 3-4 would fit a 3T sized child. My son wore a long sleeved shirt underneath because the sleeves were itchy. That helped hold it in place on his shoulders. It has a belt/sash tie that allows you to make it smaller through the middle. You provide your own pants, so that is not a concern. The helmet/mask is very smashed when you get it and has to be re-formed. I put it on a small soccer ball for about a week to help reshape it. |

If you spray painted it, it probably would get pretty rigid--i'd think you'd need to let it dry in position, like on a dummy head, or else use a flexible paint. hope this helps.p.s. I don't know about the other colors, but the green has sort of a nylon shine to it, already. |
