Answer:	I machine washed mine in cold water and dried on a rack outdoors (in summertime). It didn’t fall apart, but seemed smaller. It has such an odd shape anyway, I will probably never use it. It’s shaped to fit a very tall, drastically thin person.

Answer:	It would really depend on the size of the 5 year old but in most cases, we believe that the toddler robe would be too short for a typical size 5 year old. We have three and a half year old twins ourselves who wear the robe ALL the time so we are looking into making a larger size soon as well to serve kids up to the 5-7 range.
