Answer:	I don't know what you mean by the "tail". It is open in the back to be able to slide the child inside easily. It loops around their body to keep them snuggly in place. Answer:	Haven’t tried that yet, but it is just plastic and fabric so i don’t think there is any problem with putting it on the refrigerator or freezer, though the baby’s hand will get cold too
