Answer:	I’m sorry to say I don’t know much about the ability to tether. But I will share my experience with ‘3’. Once arriving in the UK, I took my Straight talk SIM out of my iPhone X, and placed my ‘3’ SIM in it’s place. After a few prompts, etc. I finally saw that I had 4G relatively easy. Where I was confused was the fact that sure, I could call any UK phone number or text (which of course I know no one!), but some reason I thought I was going to be able to call the US. Nope! You have to load money on the SIM (and you can only do this at a 3 store). You’d think you could add $$ to your ‘account I set up’ online, but no. Your CC must have a zip code in the UK region. So I went into the store and the guy said “of yeah, no problem. It’s 3pence to call the states, 2 pence to text. I thought ‘great’. But in fact, it’s 1.50pound per minute to make a call to the US, but still relatively cheap to text the US. One positive. When I used this SIM card in France it worked on France’s ‘Orange’ network no problem, and I could make calls and texts unlimited there as well. Just not back to the US. I’m going to have to go back to a ‘National’ Carrier in the future in order to stay better connected when I travel abroad.

Answer:	The point of plug adapters is to allow you to use one type plug (say the US-type plugs) with another country or region plug-type (the 3-prong for the UK or the round 2-pin for most of continental Europe). Plug adapters are for use with external power supplies and some devices that auto-sense voltage and convert 110 - 240 volts AC into the much lower DC voltage that your device (phone, tablet, laptop, etc.) actually uses. Check your device or power supply. Most charging blocks (iPhone, iPad for example) can accept 110 - 240 volts input. To covert voltage, you need a transformer that will convert say 220-240 down to 110-120 and those are much more expensive than simple plug adapters. For example: hair dryers and curling irons; for those, either get a transformer that can handle the load, stop at store and buy locally (correct plug and voltage) or just use whatever the hotel has in the room.

Answer:	It works off of local cell networks. If you are in range of the country’s cell network then it should. But this is just data, most cruises have WiFi which would make this unnecessary

Answer:	You will buy the Latin America plan for Costa Rica and El Salvador, and it will work as you travel between them. Later you would buy the North America plan when traveling to the USA. For example, currently the 500 MB, 15 day Latin America Plan is $20. It will expire after 500 MB or 15 days, whichever comes first. The North America plan is the same cost and duration. Obviously it's cheaper to buy a local sim on arrival, but I like that I can use the GigSky Sim when traveling between countries in a region. I use the GigSky app to recharge the SIMs my family uses. You can manage and recharge them remotely, like when my wife was in another country with her GigSky SIM that is registered under our shared account, and I purchased a data plan package for her from the app on my phone.
Question:	If you are using imessage do you use the same phone number you have in the US
Answer:	Gigsky is data only. You can get a US number though an app like Textnow (free). Then you can call forward your calls to that number and if you have an Android phone you can forward you text as well. For this to happen you require 2 phones, one left at home and the other you take with you. Your current US number is tied to your carrier and NOT portable to Gigsky. Gigsky has no phone number attached...that's why it's so portable and a great convenience.
