Answer:	A little late to the party on this, but I would say the answer is that AT&T will hit you with an ACTIVATION FEE which probably runs around $45.00 - $50.00. I doubt they'll waive the fee unless God intervenes, and their "loyalty" department has a max credit allowance of $25.00. So if you complain about the $50.00 fee they might credit you back $25.00. No clue if you can call back in a month and try for another $25.00 max "loyalty credit" or not. No clue on "unlocking" phones although I did see a web link on how to allegedly get a code for a specific phone. In Dec 2017 AT&T no longer carries these phones, so the only option is to get them elsewhere (Like Amazon!).
