Answer: Not all Iphone 12's are 5g compatible. And I don't think cricket has switched over to the 5g only system. I think by the end of the year or next year all carriers are going to have the 5g only networks.

Answer: You have to get a sim card from Cricket, and activate that one with the phone. The one from Amazon will only work if you activate through Amazon. You can also use the sim card you already have if you are a current Cricket customer.

I suspect that Basic Black means that the plastic portion of it is what is known as Flat Black, and that Black is probably a little shinier than the Basic Black color.
