| Answer: | No the other computer is excluded. You turn on the projector, then you toggle the switch to which ever computer you want to project from, then turn on that computer, and only the computer is hooked up to the projector will project. My Windows 10 doesn't like to then have the splitter toggled to the second computer. Windows 10 wants the projector on first then turn on the computer. My Windows 7 didn't care, so if both computers are Windows 7 you probably can toggle between them, and yes, you have to do this manually at the toggle switch. I don't have a Mac, so I can't answer a Mac question. So this is a great option when you have a guest speaker who wants to use his/her/ own laptop, which is my situation. |

If your TNP converter also has an audio output then you will get sound if your Monitor has speakers, or if you have separate speakers. DVI is used for video monitors, not sound. |

Then I had one 25' cable, w/o any additional device, connected to one screen, and the other output went to another screen through (in this order): this device - 50' cable - Signal Extender - 3' cable - monitor.MAYBE this device would work if connected w/ the 50' cable between it and the computer. (I didn't think of that then.) |
