Answer:	That was my problem and I understand what everyone is saying, but what I can't understand is the case came together as two separate pieces of white plastic, yet after you get it together the plastic stays together and the outter rubber edge is what peels off. Answer:	Looks real to me-well made, protects the phone well, fits perfectly. What could I look for to be sure? Speck is embroidered very nicely on side. I'd have to say real as it is so well made. My experience w fakes is the stitching/glue/fit is off somewhere and this isn't.
