Answer:	The cover is hard because the kindle fits into the cover slots in the corners. You should be able to attach a pop socket but it would be alittle heavy. I hold mine like a book.

It’s at a slight angle but it feels just fine to me, & I’m fussy. I wish I bought this case a long time ago!!! I didn’t like the directions that came with it, so I looked on YouTube & watched someone’s video on installing it. No problem. I used an old guitar pick to gently take the case apart...so I could put my iPhone in it. If you’re a guy who trims his fingernails...you will need something thin, like a pick, eyeglass screwdriver, etc., to “peel off” the top part...then it’s easy after that. Great case!!!!
