Answer:	It's smooth. I don't know why the photos all show those horizontal lines on the shell that make it look like it has a corrugated external texture. Mine was flat and smooth... Well, not perfectly smooth. It does have a very slightly matte finish (vs. glossy). I think it's great at hiding fingerprint and the like. You could certainly cover the thing with stickers without a problem, and they'd look and adhere just fine.
