In the two customer reviews, 1 person LOVES it and 1 person did not like the design due to this is a DUVET style comforter meaning the insert can be removed making is easy to wash. It is Dry Clean but you are not cleaning the insert. Hope that helps.

Answer:	I think it could be if your comforter was the correct size. Obviously, if it were larger, it wouldn't work and I doubt you would like the look if it were substantially smaller. I actually took out the comforter (with no problem - it isn't sew in) and I just use this as a bedspread because I have a down filled comforter that we sleep under, but I don't want to use this on the bed at night since it does need dry cleaning. So, I take it off and put it back on the next morning so that it is more like a bedspread.
