You press the buttons for the desired results.As for the ability to use alternate controllers, I don't know. But with other controllers, you probably can't do all that this blanket does, i.e., set it to preheat at a particular time or turn off at a certain time. Just being able to turn it on or off, perhaps you can.

Answer:	My queen size came with 2 control units on it and the instructions are inadequate.. i just pulled it out of the box so i dont know it its an either or has to be turned on or if it controls different sides.. couldn’t tell ya...

Answer:	Yes, If your blanket has the Choice Touch Controller then the blanket can be programmed to come on each night by using the preheat function. You have to first set the clock (there is a switch on the underside of the control, move it to Time and set the clock using the + and - buttons), then move the switch to preheat (again the switch is on the bottom of the control and pick a preheat time using the + and - buttons). After these are both set put the switch on the bottom of the controller back in the center position. Turn the controller on and use the mode button until Preheat flashes then the + button until it shows both Preheat and the time. That should set it. The preheat will come on at the time you set and will preheat for 30 minutes then go to the original control setting. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I measured it using a watt meter, and the result was 60 watts for all 3 settings initially. Then the power usage would slowly go down and back up depending on the setting. The back of the controller has 180 Watts printed on it, so I am guessing that is what it is rated to handle, so it can be used on the larger blankets too.

Answer:	I thought mine was broken because it did not get hot at all. Given the complaints I saw here, I was about to return it. Thankfully I found out how to reset the blanket and it is comfortable and warm now. My problem was that I had plugged into the wall before the blanket, and it confused the controller which did nothing but blink at me. After unplugging and plugging it back in the blanket functions perfectly. I saw that someone else had a similar problem when the blanket side of the cord wasn't fully seated and fastened. If your blanket is new and you aren't happy with it, try these tricks and possibly avoid having to return it!

This measurement is not much good if you are trying to determine what the length of the electrical cord is to reach your nearest wall outlet because the heat control is located about 30 inches back and in line from where the electrical cord plugs into the throw. You will also have to subtract where you want put the control plus the width of the chair if your outlet is on the left side of the chair.

Answer:	I Love the Camera and functions when it works. I did get the 3 year warranty and had to replace it after about 13 months. Last month the camera stopped again with a focus issue, I sent it in for warranty service again and this time was told the camera would not be fixed because it was damaged. The ring had a slight spot where it was hit about 6 month ago but no more than wear and tear. Panasonic declined to honor their Warranty, so if you use a camera a lot and put it in your pocket I would not recommend a Panasonic camera.

Answer:	Pushing the on button will keep the mattress on for 10 hours if you don't push it again. But you turn it off at any time within that 10 hour period by pushing the button again.

Answer:	I believe so I haven't washed my current one but previously I washed mine on gentle and line dried. Pretty sure this one is the same.
