Question: | I am wondering how this game compares to Upper Deck Legendary. Anyone have/played both |
Answer: | I have played both. I enjoy them both, but prefer the DC Deck-Building game for a number of reasons. It is very easy to pick up and play; You can teach a new player the basics in just a few hands. Legendary takes more time to understand. Legendary also takes a while to set up and clean up, while DCDBG is quick. You can also set the length of the playtime of DCDBG by adjusting the number of Super Villains. Another aspect is that the DCDBG is that it is strictly competitive. Legendary is a mix of co-op and competitive. Finally, someone will always win a game of DCDBG. It's possible for everyone to lose at Legendary and feel like you've wasted your time.Don't get me wrong. I still like Legendary. It has more complexity and diversity for individual games, which can be fun. I suggest that for players who are looking for a more in-depth game to play. The main criticism I hear about DCDBG is that it is lacking thematically. (Batman can have Heat Vision?) Personally, that never really bothered me.I've seen this kind of question before. Honestly, it's like comparing Monopoly to Sorry. Both great games, but they play completely differently. |
