Question:	How sturdy is this kit? Will it support extra blankets and a little rough housing (as I imagine my 3yo nephew will use it
Answer:	It is sturdy if you build your fort correctly. By correctly, I mean with lots of closed shapes, like cubes, pyramids, etc. Like the shapes they show in the pictures. If you build it with those shapes, it will hold up blankets fine. We had issue with making a larger fort and trying to skimp on closing some of the shapes and using the pieces we saved to extend the fort out. Then the fort started to bow under the weight of the blankets. We ended up getting 2 sets so they could build a larger, sturdy fort. Also, we had to make sure the sticks were pressed tightly into the connector balls. That will insure they will handle the rough housing. As "Smiles" said, you will need adults to help them set it up properly.

Answer:	Ours flop all around, but I'm sure if you knew someone who did alterations or could sew a little, you could buy some foam and re-sew them into the pieces to make them as firm as you'd like. Depends on how badly you want it fixed I guess. That, or you could just buy a new one if it's the same cost to fix it.

Answer:	It is 8x. A plastic lens, not the best but it won't break if a child drops the scope. This is made for preschoolers, after all. It works fine on small 3-D items...food, small toys, bugs, leaves, flowers, a book or picture, etc. The 8x enlarges a child's finger enough so the print lines are easy to see. The binocular view is very easy for little ones to use. Very few 3 - 6 year olds can use one eye effectively. The next step up in youth microscopes is a monocular one with a 10x to 40x magnification, I think.

Answer:	This microscope is perfect for a 4-year old. Children can put all sorts of items under the microscope and see interesting details. Ask your child to look at a toy, the tip of a pen or pencil and the detail on a rock and a leaf. Look at the back of a penny (dated between 1959-2008) and challenge your 4-year old to find Lincoln sitting inside the Memorial!We chose to give this microscope 8x magnification for a very good reason: the relatively low magnification is particularly good for preschool/early elementary school age children because it gives a wide field of view which is easier for a young child to understand. Answer:	There is a focuser on all of them. I have the 102 which has a 2" with an adapter for 1 1/4. Meade assures me that this scope will take 2" eyepieces and a 2" diagonal. Be aware though that This scope only has a 4" Vixen dovetail and is hard to balance if you use an EQ mount.
