Answer:	No you can not! I learned the hard way by doing so. I had a bad cold and I put some Eucalyptus oil in the water tank with the water. What it ended up doing is warping the plastic opening and after about 2 uses after, the cap just fell apart so I had to throw that away. I can still use it, but I have to add the water by hand.

Answer:	A cup...or 8 oz
Question:	Does the chemical smell in the steam ever go away? I've used this four times so far with pure, filtered water, but it still smells like chemicals
Answer:	Many irons have a safety feature where they "shut off" after a few minutes of not ironing with it. You have to pick it up or move the iron and wait for a bit for it to heat up again. When making quilts, sewing and pressing small units, it's a lot handier to have the iron hot each time I use it without waiting for it to reheat. Hope this helps.
Question:	One of the pictures shows a generous steam flow. Is it an accurate depiction of the amount of steam this produces
Answer:	No it is not retractable. Our previous iron was and cord stopped working after one year so we did not want another iron with retractable cord. Iron works well and we are pleased.RB

Answer:	Yes, this model does not have an automatic shut-off feature. The NI-E300 has an electronic 3-way auto shut-off function.

Answer:	I usually stay away about 1-2 feet to prevent from burning my face. It may need to add more water or maybe some parts were not installed properly? I would double check, sometimes we may miss a small detail. Let it run on without using it, maybe it needs a cleaning. I hope it's useful and good luck!

Answer:	Yes.i use this mainly during cough and cold..your face should be a little far thats it...you can inhale using nose and mouth ...very effective....also during winters when the air is dry in the room it helps moisturize the nasal passage for a better sleep..at least for me
